I strongly support vaginal births, including vaginal twin births.  My care is personalised and continuous, helping you feel informed, respected, and empowered throughout your birth experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

I provide comprehensive, personalised obstetric care across all stages of your pregnancy journey. This includes preconception planning, routine antenatal care, and the management of high-risk pregnancies. I also offer support for vaginal births as well as planned caesarean delivery.

I consult privately at SJOG Subiaco Medical Suites and deliver at SJOG Subiaco Hospital, ensuring continuity of care throughout your pregnancy and birth. My approach is to provide calm, evidence-based care in a supportive environment, where you feel informed, reassured, and involved in every decision.

At each appointment, I take the time to listen, answer your questions, and perform an ultrasound to monitor your baby’s growth and wellbeing, so you feel confident and well supported every step of the way.

At your first prenatal appointment, we’ll take the time to get to know you and your pregnancy. This includes reviewing your medical history and arranging some routine blood tests. We’ll also confirm your due date and talk through what to expect in the coming weeks. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and discuss any concerns you may have.

An ultrasound will also be performed at each appointment to monitor your baby’s growth and wellbeing.

The schedule of your pregnancy appointments is tailored to you and your individual needs. As a guide, I generally see patients monthly throughout the first and second trimesters, then fortnightly in the third trimester, and weekly in the final month leading up to birth.

At each visit, I perform an ultrasound so we can monitor your baby’s growth and wellbeing together. These appointments are also a chance for us to check in, discuss how you’re feeling, and address any questions or concerns as they arise.

Birth trauma is a deeply personal experience that can affect you physically, emotionally or most often, both. For many women, the thought of a future pregnancy or birth after a difficult experience can feel overwhelming and requires a  considered approach.

Supporting women through this journey is a key part of my practice. I provide personalised, continuity of care throughout your pregnancy, taking the time to understand your previous experience and what matters most to you moving forward. Together, we create a plan for your pregnancy and birth that is safe, informed, and aligned with your preferences.

My aim is to help you approach this pregnancy with confidence, and to make your birth experience as positive, empowering, and healing as possible.

If you’ve had a preterm birth before, I’ll tailor your care in a future pregnancy with closer surveillance and a management plan aimed at reducing the risk of it happening again.

In some situations, I may recommend a cervical cerclage or a 'stitch'. This is a procedure performed in theatre and is used as part of a broader, individualised approach to preterm birth prevention.
